Activity 2

Education: plan seeks to promote free equal access to quality education and life- skills training to help children and young people reach their full potential. This is done through activities such as the building and equipping of classrooms, teacher training and advocating for education policy improvement. During the fiscal year ended june 30,2013, plan trained 67,647 professional and volunteer education workers and supported the construction or rehabilitation of 2,741 schools.

Activity 3

Disaster risk management: activities include risk reduction training and relief activities such as the distribution of food and water, the provision of shelter and sanitation facilities as well as the health and psychological support for children who are victims of disasters. During the fiscal year ended june 30, 2013, plan responded to 54 disasters or emergencies. 49 countries have carried out plan's disaster preparedness process and 35 plan countries are engaged in disaster risk reduction proj
