Mission

The Mainstream Education Foundation was founded to promote separation of church and state with emphasis placed on public education and religious freedom. Mainstream is a coalition of informed citizens who believe that moderate voices need to be heard in today's political climate. Mainstream stands for common sense and responsible and compassionate ideals. We believe that people with different points of view can come together to forge good government that benefits all citizens. To that end, Mainstream Education Foundation strives to educate the public about issues, legislation, and the importance of voting.

IRS990/Desc0MainStream Education Foundation works to educate its network and the larger public through regular communication via email and social media. The organization also holds regular legislative forums where sitting legislators are invited to update the public on key issues being addressed by the Kansas Legislature. Some topics have included: public education finance, tax reform, judicial selection and medicaid expansion. Additionally, MainStream Education Foundation holds an annual dinner (Stand Up Speak Out) to promote the mission and ideas of the Foundation. Each year community leaders and activists who have stood up and spoken out to better the community and state are honored. In 2017, 870 people came together to honor and further this work.
