For this reason, IHP has come up with this program that teaches immigrant women how to build and achieve their dreams. We do this by the skills assessments, identify goals, training and workshops, bridge the gap in careers, contextual language immersion and partnership development. The build your dream project integrates contextualized language and job-training programs that help immigrant women navigate the local job market. In 2020 IHP places 18 women in high positions.

It's engaging woman and girls, gives them an effective interaction, build power to reflect, study, and to think critically about their own lives. Heal Your Body has an intensive 3 month unit including the study of chronic disease, mental health, well being to navigate the healthcare systems, body movement and nutrition.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActyOtherGrp/Desc0COVID 19 Response The COVID 19 pandemic has been a difficult time for the world and the 317 people of the IHP community. While the lockdown intended to curb the transmission of the virus, it has a negative impact to the economical and mental health of our community with the language barrier making everything much more difficult for the women of the IHP community. IHP, with their network of volunteers and partners, were therefore called to double the effort in helping mitigate the impact of COVID 19 to our community and the following was realized. 1. In person English classes were transitioned to online classes and trainings were organized to get everyone going with the tools used to frontline the classes. 2. Laptops and tablets were distributed, software licenses purchased and data subscriptions provided to enable women to continue to learn and complete their assignments. 3. Essential supplies were distributed to immigrant women and their families. These included food, gift cards diapers, transportation tickets and protective equipment for essential workers. 4. Psychological and social support to combat anxiety and stress related to unemployment and under information about the virus.
