Slco pfs 1 inc. Held assets for other organizations (agency funds) associated with salt lake county's pay for success projects. The assets are held in the operating bank account of the organization on an agency relationship basis. The organization receives loan proceeds and donations from the funders and has agreed to transfer those assets, any investment return on those assets, or both to the specified beneficiaries. Contributions of assets other than cash are recorded at their estimated fair value. Agency transactions are recorded as an asset with an off- setting liability when received or committed by the funders.

The spv accounts for uncertain tax positions in accordance with fasb asc 740-10-25, accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. This guidance provides that a tax benefit from an uncertain tax position may be recognized when it is more likely than not that the position will be sustained upon examination, including resolutions of any related appeals or litigation processes, based on the technical merits. Income tax positions must meet a more-likely-than-not recognition threshold at the effective date to be recognized upon the adoption of acs 740-10-25 and in subsequent periods.
