Gordon square art space: brings rotating art exhibits and arts organizations to a storefront space in the heart of the neighborhood. Gsad invites local emerging artists and arts organizations to take over the space for a period of 2 to 8 weeks at a time, bringing a diverse range of artistic offerings to the neighborhood through exhibits, educational programs and activities. Local artists have an opportunity to show their work in a new, visible location, develop new audiences and markets, present different artistic mediums, and conduct arts education and engagement activities. Gordon square outdoor arts programming: gsad hosts outdoor artistic performances such as music and theatre to reach a diverse segment of the neighborhood population and increase the inclusion of all residents and attract visitors. The events are paired with local food businesses and retain merchants in order to enhance economic opportunities associated with the series. Neighborhood-based nonprofit community partners were also included.

GSAD INVITES LOCAL EMERGING ARTISTS AND ARTS ORGANIZATIONS TO TAKE OVER THE SPACE FOR A PERIOD OF 2 TO 8 WEEKS AT A TIME, BRINGING A DIVERSE RANGE OF ARTISTIC OFFERINGS TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD THROUGH EXHIBITS, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES. LOCAL ARTISTS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW THEIR WORK IN A NEW, VISIBLE LOCATION, DEVELOP NEW AUDIENCES AND MARKETS, PRESENT DIFFERENT ARTISTIC MEDIUMS, AND CONDUCT ARTS EDUCATION AND ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES. GORDON SQUARE OUTDOOR ARTS PROGRAMMING: GSAD HOSTS OUTDOOR ARTISTIC PERFORMANCES SUCH AS MUSIC AND THEATRE TO REACH A DIVERSE SEGMENT OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD POPULATION AND INCREASE THE INCLUSION OF ALL RESIDENTS AND ATTRACT VISITORS. THE EVENTS ARE PAIRED WITH LOCAL FOOD BUSINESSES AND RETAIN MERCHANTS IN ORDER TO ENHANCE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE SERIES.
