“We are buying land to break ground on a giveback cafe to sell food products with the goal of spreading awareness about human trafficking, empowering people to make a difference through purposeful purchasing as a first step and create opportunities for survivors and those vulnerable through jobs and housing. Stories was born out of the belief that when people learned about human trafficking and how it affects our communities they would want to do something to fight against it. We create opportunities for people to do just that by empowering them to take the first step through education and purposeful purchasing. Stories foundation uses business to create opportunities for survivors and those vulnerable. Stories also had a few events during the year to further the message like an organized 5k run and gala.”
“We did focus more on awareness work and pursuing the build of storyteller cafe. We hope to break ground on storyteller cafe in the next few months.”
