Recipients' Excursions: Our program participants attended a variety of excursions. For marginalized students, financial barriers and family circumstances often limit access to transformative opportunities. We provided educational trips, cultural events, and exposure to new environments. This provided our participants with the chance to explore places they might not otherwise experience. These trips ignited curiosity, fostered confidence, and helped break cycles of limited access thus ensuring every student, regardless of their background had the opportunity to dream bigger and achieve more. One of the highlights of our various Environmental Responsibilities: Self & Community Workshops was the fact that our program sponsored "A Community Self-Care Weekend" just in time for back to school. At our free event, participants found everything they needed to prepare for their 2024 academic year. There were local vendors and community organizations that offered services to support students and families. Activities included: Bascom Palmer Eye Institute who provided free eye examinations on site, Avenues of Excellence discussed school etiquette/decorum and personal hygiene. Eat Well Exchange provided a cooking demonstration/healthy eating seminar, "Get Fit" held a Fitness Session, and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics conducted a STEM activity involving DNA and strawberries. Bookbags, BBQ, and Haircuts were also provided. Fiscal/Financial Literacy Workshops: Our program participated in Miami-Dade County Public School's Summer Youth Internship Program allowing High School students to participate in a paid Internship program for 6 weeks. Additionally, we facilitated the process of helping the Interns to open a bank account at EdFed Educational Credit Union. Free Hot Meal Program: Our program provided free hot meals for our 20-25 student participants. Most of our student participants are a part of the State of Florida's free or reduced Lunch Program. Health & Fitness Sessions: Our program attended Shake-A-Leg Miami, where they participated in water activities such as canoeing, sailing, and snorkeling. Furthermore, as mentioned under the highlights for Environmental Responsibilities: Self & Community we participated in "Get Fit" Session with Cool Fitness 24. S.T.E.A.M. Activities: Our program placed special emphasis on this area during our 6-week START Program Summer "S.T.E.A.M. Camp." The camp was funded by The Children's Trust Program Enhancement Funds. Each week had a theme: Week 1 Science, Week 2: Technology, Week 3: Engineering, Week 4: Art, Week 5: Mathematics and finally Week 6 of the Camp was a floating week that had a combination of themed activities.$0$95,916
