“The dave gallup foundation provides a comprehensive psychosocial recovery model for women with addiction problems. We are a six bed modified therapeutic community, within a sober and supported living environment located in fort atkinson, wisconsin. The dave gallup foundation is dedicated to raising awareness about the disease of addiction and its devastating effects on the affected individual, their loved ones, and society as a whole. Our mission involves community education, prevention, intervention, advocacy and fund raising to provide support-based services for women recovering from addition. We are a peer run recovery organization that actively supports and promotes recovery via therapeutic community (tc); a nida and samhsa supported evidence-based model. It is distinguished from other approaches by the use of the community as the primary method to bring about positive pro-social and psychological changes in individuals with substance abuse and co- occurring disorders. Therapeutic community engages the whole person in the recovery process and challenges the individual to have a full, positive life with healthy supportive relationships and satisfying work. A trauma informed care approach is utilized throughout the organization to facilitate recovery and healing among residents, staff, perrs, families, and the community. The dave gallup foundation is a supported living environment with on-site supervision. We concentrate on basic living issues and coordinate with other community agencies in order to provide each woman with a variety of options to obtain the services she needs.”
