“Weekly support meetings - held in multiple counties in ohio. Support meetings for anyone touched by addiction with the goal of educating, empowering and embracing all individuals through relevant speakers, open discussion and educational videos. Average attendance at our weekly meeting was approaching 200 family members, those in recovery and those struggling with active addiction. In 2019 that number also included 450 new families that found our organization for the first time.”
“One-on-one phone support - warm line for anyone touched by addiction. Support, guidance, system navigation and referrals given. In 2019 our warm line supported over 400 people via telephone, email and text providing guidance and resources. That's more than 1 a day but when you include the family members that are also helped by the support the "1" person reaching out receives, the actual number of people supported is far greater than 400. Further, we are constantly receiving testomonials from those whose lives were changed by that "1" phone call.”
“Rally - to unite the people and resources of the miami valley to : - eliminate the stigma associated with addiction and mental health disorders. We had over 3,000 people attending our 6th annual august 25th 2019 rally. - educate about addiction and mental health disorders. There was 72 booths staffed from local addiction treatment resources at our 2019 rally. Also at our 2019 rally we know of 11 people that went from our rally directly to a treatment facility. - celebrate and show that recovery is possible and that it works. We had a "recovery countdown" that celebrated individuals that had over 30 years of recovery down to individuals that had as little as 1 day of recovery. It was truly a celebration of all who had taken that step.”
