To raise funds to support the arts in our greater community, focusing primarily on exposing children to the arts.
Our purpose is to raise funds, through donations and events, to support the arts in our greater community and to provide educational and social opportunities for our membership. Reorganized as Arts, etc. in 2014, the group became independent and expanded its support to include visual, performing, and literary arts. It has since donated $425,550 from the proceeds of the acclaimed Art & House Tour to area organizations that bring the arts to the young people of Johns and Wadmalaw Islands. The organization hosts expert speakers and arranges gallery tours to expand members' perspectives and insights into the arts.

These performances will feature The Orchestra Moves, with approximately 3,000 students from 21 schools participating. Title I schools will receive complimentary tickets and transportation. To enhance the experience, all participating teachers will attend a district-accredited curriculum workshop on September 20, 2024, diving into program resources for classroom integration. These workshops take place before CSO performances, allowing Link Up teachers to attend a Masterworks concert and experience the symphony firsthand before returning with their students later in the year. | $30,000 |

These performances will feature The Orchestra Moves, with approximately 3,000 students from 21 schools participating. Title I schools will receive complimentary tickets and transportation. To enhance the experience, all participating teachers will attend a district-accredited curriculum workshop on September 20, 2024, diving into program resources for classroom integration. These workshops take place before CSO performances, allowing Link Up teachers to attend a Masterworks concert and experience the symphony firsthand before returning with their students later in the year. |

Applications for grants are received from local school ans local (Charleston-area) 501(c)(3) organizations which provide arts-oriented educational experiences. Once approved, the organization or school receiving the grant must complete a "Project Confirmation" form when the dates of the program are finalized with the applicable school's administration. Grants funds will be released once the Confimation Form is received. Arts etc members strive to attend as many of the performances and workshops as possible. Once the educational experience is completed, the providing organization must complete a "Project Completion" form and submit it to Arts etc. Compliance with the requested forms and prompt communication with Arts etc is a component of Arts etc's review of an entity's application for future grants. |
