Financial Statement Notes

PART IV, LINE 2B:

New cassel, inc. Has an account for residents to use for spending money. Residents or family members are able to write a check or drop off cash for residents. This money is held onto by the business office, and residents are able to access the cash as needed.

PART V, LINE 4:

The endowment funds are used for the purposes of providing services and facilities related to financial assistance and spiritual care for the residents of the center.

PART X, LINE 2:

New cassel, inc. And the new cassel foundation are not-for-profit corporations as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. These entities are exempt from federal income taxes on related income pursuant to section 501(a) of the internal revenue code and fall under group exemption number 0928 (roman catholic chruch in the united states). The organization accounts for uncertainties in accounting for income tax assets and liabilities using guidance included in fasb asc 740, income taxes. The organization recognizes the effect of income tax positions only if those positions are more likely than not of being sustained. At june 30, 2016, the organization had no uncertain tax positions accrued.
