“Form 990-EZ, Part III- Organizations Primary Exempt PurposeGeorgia Studio & Infrastructure Alliance, Inc. (GSIA) is collaborative voice for Georgia Studios and support businesses to communicate, educate, and advocate for long term sustainability of the states film and television industry. Form 990-EZ, Part III, Line 28 - Statement of Program Service AccomplishmentsIn 2023, the GSIA, an alliance of sound stages and film industry vendors, continued their work to advocate for the Georgia Entertainment Tax Credit and tell the stories of everyday hardworking Georgians who have made a career in the Film industry. GSIA members and leadership attended roundtable events across the state to educate and advocate for Georgias entertainment industry. These roundtables were held in Atlanta, Augusta, Macon, Rome, Warner Robins, Athens, and Savannah. Various entertainment industry locals attended each roundtable session and we were able to advocate and educate local elected officials as well as statewide officials on the positive effects of Georgias film industry. Members also attended meetings of the Joint Tax Credit Review Committee held in different cities around the state. One of our members produced an educational video for the meeting which outlined homegrown businesses employing Georgians and making a positive economic impact on Georgias economy.In addition, we continued our partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) on their website, Georgia FilmWorks, which showcases GSIAs PR stories on the states website. Since our founding in 2014, GSIA has grown and established itself as a trusted voice for the industry, earning its credibility through active involvement at the State Capitol during and beyond the legislative session. We continue to strive to be a resource to policymakers when they need our input and/or film industry data when they are making decisions related to the film industry. The relationships we have developed allow us to be a source of information for education initiatives to prepare an educated workforce to take advantage of film industry opportunities. As our membership has grown and changed, we have become a strong collaborative partner with other film industry organizations and look forward to continuing to lead the charge representing working Georgians in the film industry.”
