OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE WORKING POOR TO BECOME CONFIDENT, PRODUCTIVE AND SELF-SUFFICIENT CITIZENS THROUGH FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT AND ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE MICROLOANS. Opportunity PLUS MODEL IS INSPIRED BY THE PRACTICE OF MICROFINANCE PLUS, WHERE THE EXTENSION OF SMALL-SCALE FINANCIAL SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME POPULATIONS INCLUDES BROADER DEVELOPMENT ISSUES LIKE GENDER, HEALTH, EDUCATION AND ENERGY PROVISION TO ADDRESS THE MULTI-DIMENSIONALITY OF POVERTY. WE AIM TO CREATE A SENSE OF OWNERSHIP WITH A VESTED INTEREST IN THEIR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND BELIEVE THAT AFFORDABLE CAPITAL IS A POWERFUL WAY TO ADDRESS THE CHALLENGES FACED IN POVERTY. WE MANAGE TWO PROGRAMS - MICROLOANS FOR MICROENTERPRISES AND MICROLOANS FOR BASIC HUMAN NEEDS, WHICH INCLUDE RENEWABLE ENERGY AND CLEAN DRINKING WATER. WE AWARD GRANT CAPITAL THAT IS LEVERAGED MULTIPLE TIMES AS REPAYABLE MICROLOANS. AS THE MICROLOANS ARE REPAID, THEY ARE RE-LENT TO A NEW BENEFICIARY, CREATING A PERPETUAL CYCLE OF I
