“The purpose of this foundation shall be to ensure the future of three rivers fine & performing arts programs and assist the directors and student members with any worthwhile undertaking or venture that would promote, support, and benefit the fine & performing arts programs of taylor high school, taylor middleschool, and three rivers elementary school,including but not limited to affiliated groups: instrumental music, vocal music, theater arts, general music, and visual arts and all of their affiliate groups.such assistance shall be done without attempting to direct the functions or policies of the board of education, the administration, or its teachers.”

“The 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands have over 120 students enrolled. The high school symphonic band has over 40 students and the jazz ensemble has 15 students. The marching yellowjackets has 50 members and competed in class aa. The taylor band has hosted a mid states band association for the last three years.”

“Three rivers childrens theatre is our largest department with over 160 students participating in the november 2018 production of beauty and the beast. Taylor high school drama participates in cappies of greater cincinnati: a national student critique program that supports local high school theater. The end of the year is celebrated with an awards ceremony with 26 local high schools participating. In 2018-19, taylor received eleven nominations, and performed an excerpt from cinderella on the aronoff stage.”

“The 6-12 choir program has over 400 students singing in at least one choir. The high school program alone consists of approximately 25% of the high school population. Over 30 students (in grades 5-12) are taking private vocal lessons. The womens chorus and senior choir advanced to state competition, receiving the highest rating at the local level of omea large group competition.”

“Art classes are offered k-12th grade. The visual arts department also offers after school clubs and enrichment classes. There are several different art shows throughout the year at each different grade level. Visual art activities include those connected to conducting art shows and educational/enrichment camps, purchasing art supplies, paying art conference dues, and contest entry fees and camp scholarships. At taylor, about 40% of high school students are involved in the visual arts. The high school visual arts program offers college prep as well as honors level courses; there are 3 different ap studio art classes offered: drawing, design and 3d. Ap visual arts have a 90-95% pass rate for the college level classes.”
