| Project Main Street, Inc. created job opportunities and job training by using the Sparta Restaurant as a job creation and job training proving ground that built capacity and encouraged new social entrepreneurs. Beginning in July 2015 Project Main Street transitioned from a support role at the Sparta Restaurant to an ownership role. Project Main Street owned and operated the coffeeshop/restaurant through September 2016 when it was deterimined not financially sustainable. The Sparta Restaurant offered employment to individuals returning to public life after incarceration.
