Bottle Foundation

The Bottle Foundation, Inc. (the "Foundation") is a New York State based foundation with the mission of providing direct employment and career development opportunities to very low income or homeless inhabitants of New York City. The Foundation generates income through the New York State Returnable Container Law by operating a New York State bottle redemption center and corresponding collection service.

The Corporation is formed for the purpose of owning, operating, and maintaining a New York State based redemption center as defined under the New York State Returnable Container Act to be staffed by low income or homeless individuals residing in the City of New York. The lawful public and quasi-public charitable objectives which each business purpose will achieve is the reduction of adult unemployment, the promotion of maximum adult employment by bettering and maintaining employment opportunities, the reduction of homelessness, and ultimately the stimulation of economic growth through direct employment opportunities provided by the foundation.
