“The board has the responsibility for reviewing the organiation's form 990 (including all pertinent schedules) before it is filed with the internal revenue service. A draft of the form 990 is ready for review by the board no later than a week prior to the filing deadline. After the draft of the form 990 has been obtained by the board, they will have no more than a week to complete their review. In conducting their review of the draft of the form 990, the board conducts a top-level or big-picture type of review. “In fiscal year 2018-2019, tbc made huge strides and accomplished the following: - 2 festival of thought beta weeks held at various tech companies - 1 gathering with patrick lencioni (over 1000 in attendance) - 2 regional events with andy crouch (over 200 church leaders in attendance) tbc board activities: quarterly meetings with tbc cabinet; quarterly email updates. Advisory board: 1-1 meetings with each member unify: -navigated a potential church split in santa cruz to an amicable parting -launched the northeast pastors network (vallejo, american canyon, benecia) -launched the salinas pastors network -served advisory board for centerset church -built momentum and growth with the existing pastors networks - 23 regions -brought 32 bay area pastors/tbc leaders to estes park co for leadership training and soulcare -hosted andy crouch for leaders in east bay and peninsula -traveled to singapore with 2 other tbc colleagues to meet with festival of thought leadership and strategize bay area fot 2021 -strategy meetings with multiple vietnamese pastors for the new southeast asian pastors network (in progress) -drafted bay area festival of playbook (with v) for quarterly beta events -strategy meetings with watsonville pastors for the new watsonville pastors network (in progress) -planned and facilitated two quarters visits with the rzim team for fot (aug/oct). Rzim taste and see talks throughout the bay area in preparations for fot 2021 -city gospel movement best practice leadership trip to seattle in sept amplify: amplify has establish 14 collaborative cohorts in 5 counties. Each cohort consist of government, non profit, business, education, and faith domains. Several movements have come out of these models. In addition, amplify has conducted 4 cross country experiences with domain leaders to learn from best practices around foster care and homeless solutions. This initiative continues to advise countless non profits and community pastors around the bay area and help lead collaboration for systemic change in our bay area cities. Multiply: coaching and concierge - throughout the year, our entire tbc met with numerous church planters throughout the bay area and the planting organizations that are supporting them. Collectively we offered coaching and topics including: team building, funding, strategy, vision, and strategic missional direction. We also serve as a concierge for prospective planters considering different regions in the bay area and where best to plant. Encouragement and troubleshooting - our multiply initiative considers a church in "planting mode" 2 years prior to launch, and 3 years from the launch date. With that, our team serves to encourage planters and their teams as they reach certain thresholds and levels of discernable success. This involves troubleshooting and sharing best practice from other regional planters and the organizations that support them.”

RZIM TASTE AND SEE TALKS THROUGHOUT THE BAY AREA IN PREPARATIONS FOR FOT 2021 -CITY GOSPEL MOVEMENT BEST PRACTICE LEADERSHIP TRIP TO SEATTLE IN SEPT AMPLIFY: AMPLIFY HAS ESTABLISH 14 COLLABORATIVE COHORTS IN 5 COUNTIES. EACH COHORT CONSIST OF GOVERNMENT, NON PROFIT, BUSINESS, EDUCATION, AND FAITH DOMAINS. SEVERAL MOVEMENTS HAVE COME OUT OF THESE MODELS. IN ADDITION, AMPLIFY HAS CONDUCTED 4 CROSS COUNTRY EXPERIENCES WITH DOMAIN LEADERS TO LEARN FROM BEST PRACTICES AROUND FOSTER CARE AND HOMELESS SOLUTIONS. THIS INITIATIVE CONTINUES TO ADVISE COUNTLESS NON PROFITS AND COMMUNITY PASTORS AROUND THE BAY AREA AND HELP LEAD COLLABORATION FOR SYSTEMIC CHANGE IN OUR BAY AREA CITIES. MULTIPLY: COACHING AND CONCIERGE - THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, OUR ENTIRE TBC MET WITH NUMEROUS CHURCH PLANTERS THROUGHOUT THE BAY AREA AND THE PLANTING ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE SUPPORTING THEM. COLLECTIVELY WE OFFERED COACHING AND TOPICS INCLUDING: TEAM BUILDING, FUNDING, STRATEGY, VISION, AND STRATEGIC MISSIONAL DIRECTION. WE ALSO SERVE AS A CONCIERGE FOR PROSPECTIVE PLANTERS CONSIDERING DIFFERENT REGIONS IN THE BAY AREA AND WHERE BEST TO PLANT. ENCOURAGEMENT AND TROUBLESHOOTING - OUR MULTIPLY INITIATIVE CONSIDERS A CHURCH IN "PLANTING MODE" 2 YEARS PRIOR TO LAUNCH, AND 3 YEARS FROM THE LAUNCH DATE. WITH THAT, OUR TEAM SERVES TO ENCOURAGE PLANTERS AND THEIR TEAMS AS THEY REACH CERTAIN THRESHOLDS AND LEVELS OF DISCERNABLE SUCCESS.
