Research and polling are vital to informing the organization's initiatives and honing the focus of our programs. To understand attitudes and beliefs affecting Latino civic engagement, we conduct polling at key inflection points during the year to determine what issues motivated Latinos toward engagement, and to understand why Latinos chose to participate or not participate, as the case may be. We also perform data analysis on key states that lack Latino representation reflective of the constituents to determine our focus areas and strategy for engagement, and track this publicly on the LVP mapping tool.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0ENGAGING LATINO INFLUENCERS - LVP strategically used public influencers via digital outreach, events, and advertising to raise the level of interest and participation in civic engagement. From encouraging naturalization to promoting voter registration to GOTV efforts, LVP consistently worked to emphasize the power Latinos have to build sustainable change for themselves. We also work to recruit and develop a pipeline of Latino leaders that will continue to uphold this work and be changemakers for their communities. Some of this is done through "The Firsts" program, which engages the Latino community by sharing our story to inspire positive change. This program targets "Firsts" from Latino families who are generally among the first in the family to achieve educational, financial or other milestones.

With partners, LVP held rallies, parades and block parties to bring attention to early vote deadlines and encourage voters to go to the polls and vote. LVP also participated in #NationalEarlyVote Day with a strong coalition of progressive groups, with activities across the country. One of the week's highlights was an event that coincided with Dia de los Muertos. In Florida we produced radio and digital content for voter mobilization, in California we had a mail program, and in Nevada we funded calls to engage low propensity voters.
