Financial Statement Notes

Footnote for uncertain tax position under FIN 48 (Part X)

Partners Achieving Community Transformation (PACT) is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. PACT follows FASB guidance on accounting for uncertainty income taxes, which addresses the determination of whether tax benefits claimed or expected to be claimed on a tax return should be recorded in the financial statements. Accordingly, tax positions are evaluated on whether they meer the more than likely than not standard for sustainability on examination by tax authorities. PACT does not believe its financial statements include any uncertain tax positions. At December 31, 2016 and 2015, there were no unrecognized tax benefits identified or recorded as liabilities.

PACT follows FASB guidance on accounting for uncertainty income taxes, which addresses the determination of whether tax benefits claimed or expected to be claimed on a tax return should be recorded in the financial statements. Accordingly, tax positions are evaluated on whether they meer the more than likely than not standard for sustainability on examination by tax authorities. PACT does not believe its financial statements include any uncertain tax positions. At December 31, 2016 and 2015, there were no unrecognized tax benefits identified or recorded as liabilities.
