Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The purposes for which the corporation is formed and the objects to be carried on and promoted by it are as follows: a To stimulate interest in golf by bringing together a group of golfers desirous of forming a golfing organization; b To promote and foster among the members a closer bond and fraternity for their joint and mutual benefit and to promote and conserve the best interests and true spirit of the game as embodied in its ancient and honorable traditions; c To encourage conformance to the USGA Rules of Golf by creating a representative authority; d To maintain a uniform system of handicapping as set forth in the USGA Handicap System and issue USGA Handicap Indexes to the members; e To provide an authoritative body to govern and conduct association competitions.
