To excite, inform, and educate students about science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (steam) careers. Through a collaboration with the community, education, government and the technology industry, wctd provides awareness and education of the 21st century workforce skills, as well as the opportunities available to students embracing steam careers. Impacting students at a local, national and global level, our programs create a hunger for learning that empowers students to find their own paths to success.

ANNUAL CODE-A-THONSTUDENTS INVEST IN THEIR FUTURE BY LEARNING INVALUABLE TECHNOLOGY AND CODING SKILLS. THE PROGRAM TAKES PLACE EACH JANUARY, WITH THIS YEAR'S PROGRAM MAKING A TRANSFORMATION TO FULLY DIGITAL ONLINE. STUDENTS ARE PLACED ON A TEAM OF 4 STUDENTS WITH 1 MENTOR PER TEAM. ALL STUDENTS, AND MENTORS LEARN TO UTILIZE MICROSOFT TEAMS AS A PART OF THE PROGRAM ONLINE EXPERIENCE. TRAINING BEGINS WITH OUR LEVEL I CURRICULUM TEACHING STUDENTS TO CODE USING HTML AND CSS, THEY CAN PROGRESS TO JAVASCRIPT IN LEVEL II, AND ADVANCE TO LEVEL III CURRICULUM LEARNING ADVANCED WEB DEVELOPMENT USING REACT. ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TRAINING SESSIONS BASED ON THE LEVEL THEY WILL COMPETE IN.$0$15,000
