“Primary exempt purpose - to improve the health needs of the el paso area by providing free health care to the uninsured and underinsured in the el paso area. Rotacare will establish a clinic that will provide basic medical needs with volunteer medical support.”

“Program services accomplishments the organization provides free health care services to the poor and underserved population in the zaragoza area of el paso, texas. A clinic was constructed and opened during 2014. The clinic is run by volunteers in both administration and doctors. No fees are charges to patients that need service provided by the clinic. Funds are obtained by applying for grants, soliciting contributions and establishing fundraisers. In late 2014, the clinic opened and is run by the staff of professional physicians and nurses on a monthly basis. The clinic opens every saturday, except on holidays. Medical students from the paul foster texas tech school of medicine also provide the doctors with assistance. This is a learning opportunity for the students in their first and second year of medical school. Data obtained from the services provided will also be used for research by the students on various populations seen by the clinic. Additionally, students from the university of texas at el paso who are studying a curriculem to attend medical school are also providing administration support and volunteer at the clinic.”
