Healthcare Innovation Transfer (HIT) has Dutch and North-American healthcare organizations, academic institutes and the Dutch government partners as members. What is the purpose of HIT? Global healthcare systems are under stress. Demand for services is growing at historic rates: unhealthy lifestyles continue to increase the risk and cost of disease, oncological diseases are shifting from deadly to more chronic, chronic conditions in general are more prevalent as peoples life expectancy increases across all demographics, and advances in medical technologies further defer mortality. The mission of Healthcare Innovation Transfer is to leverage the excellence of two global leaders to transform the process and to reduce the cost of healthcare and wellbeing. A synergy will form when the Dutch healthcare experience and integrated care approaches merge with the United States technological and operational innovation and entrepreneurship.

|---|---|---|
| Both the United States and the Netherlands share a challenging vision for their healthcare ecosystems of "best care at lower cost - control and/or reduce costs while improving the quality and accessibility of care. New approaches based on existing and emerging practices can be developed through collaboration as both countries have pieces of the solution. The Dutch healthcare system is one of the most efficient in the world with an integrated approach to health, while from the core of Silicon Valley, the United States is the leader in applied innovation and technology advancement. The public private partnership and collaboration of Healthcare Innovation Transfer will facilitate greater U.S.-Dutch collaboration among scientists, healthcare providers, established industries and start-ups. | $164,628 | $135,405 |
| New insights and transformational solutions for both United States and Dutch healthcare entities will be created through interaction, cooperation and partnerships with mutual experiments and projects spurring further innovation in both countries. Ultimately, this will result in an increased sharing of best practices as well as exporting services and products to the United States, and conversely, the importing of knowledge, best practices, and advanced technology from the United States to the Netherlands. | - | - |
