Ovaha is a non-profit organization (501c3) working for the betterment of veteran's in our community. Ovaha's primary mission is to assist veterans in need. The humanitarian aid portion of ovaha is in supporting our community as a whole and the individuals within it. Ovaha accomplishes its mission through its 3 core programs. Communityr support, operation humanitarian aid, veterans warehouse.

“The organization allows the ceo to review and approve the filing of the form 990. At the monthly board meeting the form 990 is reviewed and approved by the board. Each is given copies to review prior to or at the meeting along with all relevant schedules. Board members initial a filed copy of the form 990.”

“Humanitarian aid program: is a life saving program to help ensure the safety and welfare of the homeless in the central washington area. Our goal is to prevent the death of our fellow americans, through issueing them cold weather items to survive the extreme cold weather climate of the outdoors in our area. Through our program we were able to help 221 individual veterns and 50 dependents,other individule totaled 935 and their dependants of 209. A total of 1,415 were helped. A varitey of help was given in the form of sufeed animals, children books, furniture, electric charies, referals, funds and materials for various ramps and their installations, clothing and housing, and numerous referrals and assistance. We also helped with the following fires: palmer mtn fire (donations of 30,264), tonasket fire (donations of 26,005, highland fire (donatins of 33,796), and we helped with 3 house fires and for a total of 99,406.45. Items donated were from the public that we collect through the year.”
“Veterans warehouse 410 thrift store: opened on november 22, 2013. It is designed to be a community resource center attempting to end homelessness in the veteran community. However, we will not turn anyone away that is in need. The 13,000 sq ft warehouse in wenatchee and a new store in kennewick provides the following programs: on the job training, 20% discount to all veterans and spouses, operation uniform,operation home front, community and humanitarian aid, courage and honorprogram, operation mre, consignment and rental outlets. We have a total of 4,363 and 5,573 (wentchee and kennewick, respectivly for 2021)and 41,436 (from 2013 to 2021) volunteer hours that help sustain the various programs that we sponsor out of our warehouses. We have been able to help the following: operation uniform: a program that supplies free clothing to veterans in need: helped in wenatchee: 143 veterans and 27 dependants; 1253 others and their dependants of 261; for an approximate value of 546,048. Helped in kennewick: 46 veterans and 11 dependants; 515 others and their dependants of 199; for an approximate value of 265,039. Operation homefront: a program that provides free house hold items to veterans i need. Helped in wenatchee: 46 veterans and 8 dependants; 18 others and their dependants of 41; for an approximate value of 71,285. Helped in kennewick: 43 veterans and 2 dependants; 15 others and their dependants of 36; for an approximate value of 52,834. Operation mre: assist veterans in need with food items donated food items to warehouse to individuals. Helped in wenachee: 64 veterans and 16 dependants; 206 others and their dependants of 32; for an approximate value of 13,175. Helped in kennewick: 47 veterans and 13 dependants; 195 others and their dependants of 25; for an approximate value of 7,047. Operation senior purchases: program disignated to allow seniors or others to make purchases off the internet with cash only. Ovaha charges 1 per transaction. We helped 0 veterns and 0 dependents; 0 others; at a monetry vaule of -0-. Ojt/worker support program ii: allows individuals to work in store for in-kind goods. A self-support program for anyone in need. Helped in wenatchee: 42 veterns and 11 dependents; 88 others and 36 dependents; for an approximate value of 697,814. Helped in kennewick: 29 veterns and 1 dependents; 74 others and 22 dependents; for an approximate value of 618,000. Operation switch: program allows homeless and impovierished to trade or switch their current item for a different item. Helped in wenatchee: 20 veterens and 6 dependents, 266 others and 60 dependent for a total value of 216,395. Helped in kennewick: 17 veterens and 6 dependents, 191 others and 36 dependent for a total value of 114,397. Our program has also reached out to our community providing support to various needs. Examples of our community support are the following donations or refferals to organizations or individuals.”
