Mission

To end homelessness and assist veterans in the community; provide assistance to veterans family members; community and humanitarian support

Ovaha is a non-profit organization (501c3) working for the betterment of veteran's in our community. Ovaha's primary mission is to assist veterans in need. The humanitarian aid portion of ovaha is in supporting our community as a whole and the individuals within it. Ovaha accomplishes its mission through its 3 core programs. Communityr support, operation humanitarian aid, veterans warehouse.

Volunteers of all ages help in the store and all other activites. In delivery items to various homeless camps. Reaching out to provide assistance where needed.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Humanitarian aid program: is a life saving program to help ensure the safety and welfare of the homeless in the central washington area. Our goal is to prevent the death of our fellow americans, through issueing them cold weather items to survive the extreme cold weather climate of the outdoors in our area. Through our program we were able to help 41 individuals and 22 dependents for a total of 10,829. We made deliveries to homeless sights for 62 individuals and 51 dependents in chelan county at an approximate value of 496,652. Deliveries were made to homeless sights in moses lake for 108 individuals and 54 dependents for an approximate valuse of 97,262. Deliveries were made to homeless sights in okanogan for 126 individuals and 51 dependents for an approximate value of 126,487. We assitsed the following: veterns (337), veteran dependants (22) and others (184) and other dependents (27) for a total of 291,225.

Veterans warehouse 410 thrift store: opened on november 22, 2013. It is designed to be a community resource center attempting to end homelessness in the veteran community. However, we will not turn anyone away that is in need. The 13,000 sq ft warehouse provides the following programs: on the job training, 20% discount to all veterans and spouses, operation uniform, operation home front, community and humanitarian aid, courage and honor program, operation mre, consignment and rental outlets. We have a total of 19,268 volunteer hours that help sustain the various programs that we sponsor out of your warehouse. We have been able to help the following: operation uniform: a program that supplies free clothing to veterans in need: helped 41 veterans and 154 dependants; 22 others and their dependants of 18; for an approximate value of 35,403 operation homefront: a program that provides free house hold items to veterans i need. Helped 3 veterans and 5 dependants; 6 others and their dependants of 8; for an approximate value of 21,144. Operation mre: assist veterans in need with food items donated food items to wahrehouse to individuals. For an approximate value of 2,350. Operation senior purchases: program disignated to allow seniors or others to make purchases off the internet wit cash only. Ovaha charages 1 per transaction. Ojt/worker support program ii: allows individuals to work in store for in-kind goods. A self-support program for anyone in need. For an approximate value of 10,000. Operation switch: program allows homeless and impovierished to trade or switch their current item for a different item. For an approximate value of 1,200.

DELIVERIES WERE MADE TO HOMELESS SIGHTS IN MOSES LAKE FOR 108 INDIVIDUALS AND 54 DEPENDENTS FOR AN APPROXIMATE VALUSE OF 97,262. DELIVERIES WERE MADE TO HOMELESS SIGHTS IN OKANOGAN FOR 126 INDIVIDUALS AND 51 DEPENDENTS FOR AN APPROXIMATE VALUE OF 126,487. WE ASSITSED THE FOLLOWING: VETERNS (337), VETERAN DEPENDANTS (22) AND OTHERS (184) AND OTHER DEPENDENTS (27) FOR A TOTAL OF 291,225.
