“Form 990ez, part iii, line 28:in addition to playing music, downtown radio focuses on helping to connect those in need of mental health services with organizations that can help them. A lot of people are suffering needlessly, and we believe we can make a difference by providing those individuals with resources that can help or by having people on the radio to share their stories to which others can relate.downtown radio has programming like the depression session, where individuals come on to tell the story of their experience with depression, and lets talk about mental health, where a psychiatric nurse interviews representatives from various mental health agencies about the services they provide. Downtown radio also informs our community about local issues, runs public service announcements, and provides a voice for those whose say has been traditionally under-represented, such as this is how we see it.”
