Form 990, Part VI, Line 12A-C - Conflict of Interest Policy

For the fiscal year ended May 31, 2014, the Trust did not conduct operations of any training and educational services. Rather, said services were conducted by the Iowa Electrical Apprenticeship Training and Education Trust ("IEAT"), a tax-exempt organization pursuant to IRC 501(c)(3). IEAT maintained and enforced a written conflict of interest policy wherein all IEAT officers, directors, and employees are required to disclose any and all possible conflicts by signing a conflict of interest policy disclosure statement on an annual basis. The signed conflict of interest policy statements are reviewed by the IEAT Director of Training. The Trust has established a written conflict of interest policy effective for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2014.

IRS990/Desc0The Trust was organized for the exclusive purpose of providing training and education of electrical apprentices, journeyman, or other appropriate persons who fall under the jurisdiction of the collective bargaining agreement by and between the Local Union #347 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (Union) and the Des Moines Division, Iowa Chapter, National Electrical Contractors Association, Inc. (Employer). The Trust will offer journeyman training classes as needed/required to ensure journeyman electricians are equipped with the latest electrical industry code and safety information. The Trust will employ licensed electrician instructors, who will educate, instruct, and train apprentice students and journeyman electricians under a variety of class structures. The Trust will operate a five year apprentice training program. The Trust will be funded by contributions from the Employer and Union in the amount and manner provided in the current collective bargaining agreement by and between the Employer and Union. For the fiscal year ended May 31, 2014, the aforementioned training and educational services were conducted by the Iowa Electrical Apprenticeship Training and Education Trust ("IEAT"), a tax-exempt organization pursuant to IRC 501(c)(3). During the fiscal year ended May 31, 2014, the Trust was organized in preparation for the assumption of IEAT's training and education services of the Des Moines region. Effective June 1, 2014, the Trust assumed said services.

Rather, said services were conducted by the Iowa Electrical Apprenticeship Training and Education Trust ("IEAT"), a tax-exempt organization pursuant to IRC 501(c)(3). IEAT maintained and enforced a written conflict of interest policy wherein all IEAT officers, directors, and employees are required to disclose any and all possible conflicts by signing a conflict of interest policy disclosure statement on an annual basis. The signed conflict of interest policy statements are reviewed by the IEAT Director of Training. The Trust has established a written conflict of interest policy effective for the fiscal year commencing June 1, 2014.
