Globesity Inc.,'s purpose is to reduce the incidence and prevalence of obesity and obesity-related diseases in those ethnic groups with the highest rates of obesity but the lowest rate of financial resources or health insurance options to pay for primary and secondary obesity prevention treatment. By providing a free, 18-week primary and secondary obesity prevention program for those who qualify,using obesity specialist physicians, the incidence of obesity and obesity related diseases such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke and others can be significantly reduced in those target populations.

The primary exempt purpose is to provide primary obesity prevention by obesity-specialist physicians through obesity screening, education, nutritional and dietary counseling and psychosocial behavioral and dance therapies. This 6-month weight loss and weight loss maintenance program is free to target those ethnic groups with highest rates of obesity and the lowest rates of financial resources to pay for obesity treatment. In doing this, Globesity, Inc.'s primary goal is to reduce the incidence of such obesity related diseases such as hypertension, Type 2 diabetes mellitus, heart disease, stroke, peripheral vascular disease, arthritis, cancer and hepatitis( NASH) in the Capital Region and its contiguous communities.
