Mission

The organization works to ensure every child in the city of cleveland attends an excellent school and that every neighborhood has a multitude of great schools from which familes can choose.

The cleveland transformation alliance (cta) is a trusted community partner working to ensure every student is engaged in a high-quality, equitable education. The cta gives families and students the information they need to commit to their best-fit public school.

The organization receives donated use of office space and professional services. Donated professional services are recognized when they require specialized skills are performed by people with those skills and would otherwise be purchased by the organization. Amounts for donated services which support the organization are reported in the financial statements based on annual contractually agreed upon rates. During the year ended december 31 2023 these in-kind services were $36,636.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) and is classified as an organization that is not a "private foundation" as defined in section 509(a) of the internal revenue code. The organization has adopted the accounting provisions pertaining to uncertain tax positions. The organization did not identify any material unrecognized tax benefits upon evaluation of tax positions taken. The organization evaluates at each balance sheet date uncertain tax positions taken, if any, to determine the need to record liabilities for taxes, penalties, and interest. The organization's policy is to record interest and penalties on uncertain tax provisions as income tax expense. As of december 31, 2023 , the organization had no accrued taxes,interest, or penalties related to uncertain tax positions. The organization estimates the unrecognized tax benefit will not change significantly within the next twelve months.
