Mission

Provide objective, scientific data for ecosystem services to economists, scientists, and farmers. Support environmental stewardship.

We believe in a healthier, happier world where grazers help us save critical grassland habitat, store soil carbon and support ranching communities in the northern great plains. Our mission is to lead efforts that how science can be applied to understand regenerative grazing concepts to benefit multiple stakeholders and communities.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

A.worked with turtle mountain community college faculty on a proposal that was successfully funded for a new carbon cycle scientific instrument. Provided educational seminars regarding this instrument at two indoor seminars and one outdoor field event. Provided expert counsel to the turtle mountain community college natural resources department faculty and turtle mountain agricultural department. Total events and training workshops reached approximately 24 students, 34 college faculty, 9 members of the tribal council, and 11 members of the tribal agriculture department. B.designed, developed, and led a carbon workshop for 48 nd natural resources conservation services representatives aimed at educating agency personnel on carbon science research and education. C.hosted three educational meetings at the north dakota natural resources trust for the purpose of disseminating knowledge of agricultural carbon and how to quantify carbon sequestration in restored grasslands. Meetings included staff, farmers, ranchers, and conservation agency representatives. D.advised representatives of the natural conservancy and the nd grazing lands coalition with the science on a public climate outreach report that was disseminated to thousands of members nationwide. E.developed and tested a natural resources science education game with approximately 21 science class students at hazelton-moffit-braddock high school.
