The Quest Center year-round music & youth development programs include: Weekly instrument, vocal conditioning, and music enrichment classes offered unconditionally to children in grades 4-12; Instrument workshops offered to all 4th & 5th graders at eight Title 1 host schools; Multiple music camps; Extended Education classes that explore songwriting, recording, & performance along with workshops that connect students to the diversity of careers in the music industry; Public School Summer Program for students at risk of failing in partnership with the Dickson County Board of Education. As part of their hands-on learning, these students also receive a payment stipend for the classes in which they serve as assistant instructors. Now entering our 10th full year of operation, the Quest Center's growth, community support and feedback from parents, school teachers, and partner organizations demonstrates that we make effective use of music education and leadership to positively impact the lives of underserved children and their families. Consistent with our mission, our programs are shown to enrich the lives of children by helping them develop self-confidence, social skills, positive self-esteem, collaboration and creative thinking skills - empowering attributes that help young people improve their chances for success in school, prepare them to successfully compete in the job market, and become positively contributing members of their communities.
