Mission

The land use integrity project, (luip), is a not-for-profit focused on promoting the importance of progressive efficiencies in land use development and reform. Thoughtfully planned cities with adequate affordable and mixed-use housing, effective mass transit, the ability to efficiently redevelop, and curtail sprawl are a benefit to both their constituency and the environment. Luip has supported smart urban growth by generating policy. More specifically, partnering with an academic to create a study that explores city planning inefficiencies and generating model land use code that enhances a streamlined, environmentally friendly, entitlement process. In the interests of community education, this information is shared on the luip website. Additionally, luip is active in social media, (facebook and twitter), highlighting and communicating municipal best practices and relevant articles.
