The form 990 is reviewed by the executive director and the treasurer, then is reviewed and discussed at a board meeting. The board votes to approve the form 990, then the filing is signed and submitted.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 12C

Bridle paths board of directors executes a written conflict of interest policy form annually. With this form, each director (1) acknowledges receiving the conflict of interest policy; (2) recognizes, that they occupy a position of trust and responsibility with respect to bridle paths and that they are obliged to discharge their duties with good faith, diligence, fidelity and loyalty, including the duty to disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest to the organization; (3) certifies that they have read the policy and understand their obligations to comply with it in all respects; and (4) confirm their understanding that bridle paths is a charitable organization and that in order to maintain its federal tax exemption it must engage primarily in activities that accomplish one or more of its tax-exempt purposes. More specifically as required by the conflict of interest policy, each director certifies that: (a) to their knowledge and except as provided in any conflict of interest disclosure statement previously provided to bridle paths or provided with this conflict of interest statement, there does not now exist any actual or potential conflict between their own (or their family's) personal or financial interests and those of the organization; and (b) they agree to report promptly to bridle paths any instance of a conflict or apparent conflict that may arise between their own (or their family's) interests and those of bridle paths.

Officers may receive compensation for their services as determined by resolution of the board. Officers may be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, if any, incurred in carrying out the purposes of the corporation. The job descriptions, offer terms, and compensation for key employees are created by the executive director in consultation with the board of directors, and the board votes on the terms of hiring of key employees.
