The morning center was started in 2011 to provide free full-service prenatal and maternity care to women in urban and under-served areas. It started as a project of samaritan ministries international, a 501(c)(3) christian charity which among other activities operates a health care sharing ministry. See irc section 5000(a)(d)(2)(b). The morning center seeks to return charitable maternity care to a private, patient-centered model.
