Mission and Program Overview
Mission
The widernet project works to deliver educational resources, knowledge and training to underprivileged individuals and communities worldwide and improve their digital communication. The widernet project is a non-profit organization based in chapel hill, nc and affiliated with the school of information and library science at the university of north carolina, chapel hill. The widernet project serves many people who lack internet connectivity and information resources, but its work focuses especially on the needs in developing countries. It is the mission of the widernet project to make educational resources and training opportunities available to those challenged by economic or geographic advertisity so that they can join the rest of the world on an economically sustainable level.
