The trust was formed to distribute amounts of net income and principal to charitable organizations or expend such amounts of net income and principal for chairitable purposes, which includes: finding, developing and fostering the growth of preserving unique and obscure musical genres, including but not limited to, jazz music as culturally unique to the st. Louis, missouri region; educating the public to the preservation of music, transferring unique music from an older geration to a younger generation by teaching, recording and preserving the elements of music genre; fostering talented individuals, whom without help, would never have the means or direction to promote their own talents; and educating, sponsoring and providing musicians with tools necessary to secure an artistic future they would otherwise never realize.
