Jerusalem Farm is a Catholic intentional community in Kansas Citys Historic Northeast focused on housing justice workforce development and sustainability. Through its Dignified Housing program the organization repairs homes for low-income residents restores abandoned properties and sells homes affordably through a Community Land Trust to promote generational stability. The Dignified Workforce hires and trains local residents including immigrants and refugees at a living wage and offers pre-apprenticeship opportunities for careers in construction. Community feedback shapes its programs through biennial listening projects while service retreats and sustainability initiatives such as tree planting solar access and park stewardship further strengthen the neighborhood. With over 400 home repairs and multiple homes restored Jerusalem Farm partners with local agencies and prioritizes accessibility equity and inclusion ensuring all neighbors benefit as the community grows.
