To improve individual and public health and well-being and to generate sustainable and prosperous economic systems by providing knowledge and action steps that enable communities to transform themselves.The Institute accomplishes this mission by creating programs, partnerships and experiential opportunities that advance education, research, and best practice sharing in all aspects of sustainability.

AUDIENCESCore audiences for Institute programs include:-Higher education, including college and university students, researchers and faculty.-Government leaders, at the local levels of cities and counties.-Thought leaders, including those who shape the global al agenda for a variety of movements from environmentalism to social equity to economic sustainability.In addition, the Institute will invite members of the public and media to attend certain events to raise awareness of issues and help educate people in how to take action steps in their communities.Business leaders are a future audience, and will be reached by the Institute cooperating in program delivery with chambers of commerce and trade organizations.sciences.CAMPUSThe Institutes physical site will be a campus based in the village of Serenbe in the City of Chattahoochee Hills south of Atlanta.This location is ideal for several reasons. First, both Serenbe and Chattahoochee Hills are proven leaders in establishing zoning and planning mechanisms for commercially viable development that preserves land, respects nature, conserves energy, encourages healthy living, fosters community, and reflects an areas beauty.Also, both provide close proximity to the rest of the world given their location 20 minutes south of the globes busiest passenger airport.ONLINE COMMUNITYThe Institute also will provide a robust online presence to offer resources and a far-reaching networked community for global collaborators. These will be individuals seeking to create and cultivate ideas for improvement and innovation, knowledge and best practice sharing, and expanded platforms for experimentation and implementation.MEASURING SUCCESSAll aspects of the Institutes work, programs and activities will be evaluated on an ongoing basis.
