Mission

The purposes for which this corporation is organized shall be to create, maintain, and operate a hospital to provide medical care including the treatment of any physical or mental disability or condition, the cost of which may be taken as a deduction under section 213 of the internal revenue code, whether the treatment is performed on an inpatient or outpatient basis.

Assets whose use is restricted of 1,365,903 consists of deposits with a mortgage company for the hud loan's mortgage reserve funds, escrow deposits, and construction deposits. Temporary restricted net assets of 248,630 consists of 204,880 of contributions restricted for the nursing home building project and 43,750 remaining from two grants not yet expended.

Frhs is a not-for-profit corporation as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is exempt from federal income taxes on related income pursuant to section 501(a) of the code. However, frhs can be subject to federal income tax on any unrelated business taxable income. Frhs follows financial accounting standards board applicable accounting standards for uncertainties in income taxes and required disclosures thereon. This guidance prescribes a minimum threshold a tax position is required to meet before being recognized on the financial statements. As of december 31, 2013 and 2012, there is no reserve for uncertain tax positions. Frhs has not recognized any interest or penalties in relation to income tax filings as of or for the years ended december 31, 2013 or 2012. Additionally, tax years 2010 to 2013 all remain open and are subject to potential examination by taxing jurisdictions.
