Ranch School Program - Provides education on the premises to the boys living on the ranch. For the year ended June 30, 2010, 10,984 days of school were provided.At the ranch, the boys receive the much needed one-on-one counseling, education, love and care they so desperately long for. Through year-round schooling, horsemanship, 4H, fellowship of Christian Athletes, a part time chaplain, a part time cultural counselor and many other activites, each boy is given the opportunity to learn and flourish. The Ranch School Program also includes the After-School Treatment Program to provide a safe environment for boys and girls ages 10 to 18 to work on their educational goals and have structured treatment and activities. For the year ended June 30, 2010, 1,076 days of after-school treatment were provided. We provide this service in cooperation with another non-profit in the community - Southeastern Behavioral Health, who has a case file on each of these clients. The ranch provides transportation to and from identified schools where parents meet to pick them up at the end of the program day. This program runs 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, which is generally a time period that is high risk for children getting involved in at risk behavior. We also provide them with an after school snack, structured recreation time and a hot evening meal. This is the only one of our programs that is not residential.
