“Accounting guidance for uncertainty in income taxes prescribes a recognition threshold of more likely than not, and a measurement attribute for all tax positions taken or expected to be taken on a tax return, in order for those tax positions to be recognized in the financial statements. At september 30, 2016 and 2015, the association believes that there are no significant uncertain tax positions or liabilities, or interest and penalties associated with uncertain tax positions. In accordance with the applicable statue of limitations, the association's tax returns could be audited by the internal revenue service for the years ended september 30, 2012 to 2016.”
