Ean's conflict of interest policy is as follows: section 1. Standard: the members and officers of the board of directors are individually and collectively responsible for avoiding, to the degree possible, any actual or potential conflict of interest including the appearance of such and for not taking any action or participating in any decision in which the officer or member has or may appear to have a conflict of interest. Section 2. Annual statement: on an annual basis the officers and members of the board of directors shall state in a form and format approved by the board any potential conflict of interest that may exist in meeting their individual responsibilities to the corporation. Section 3. Ean's programs provide the opportunity for private, nonprofit and public entities to work together to achieve both their individual objectives and the larger energy system transformation. Participants also recognized the need for support in this collaborative effort and requested that ean provide network coordination and facilitation. To meet this need, we have set up a "backbone" organizational structure that will provide on-going support in the form of network and project coordination, funding support, meeting facilitation, and development of shared metrics, so that we can collectively reach our common goals.
