Mission

1. Promote, in every lawful manner, the common interest of the members and the licensed distilling industry in texas; 2. Grow the market for texas spirits through education, marketing, and regulatory influence; 3. Represent its members in cooperation with other associations; international, federal, state, and local agencies promoting texas-made products and tourism; and other synergistic organizations; 4. Perform such other acts as may be necessary, in the opinion of the board of directors, to carry out the purpose of this association.

COORDINATED SEVERAL VIRTUAL TSDA MEMBER MEETINGS AND VIRTUAL MEETINGS WITH LEGISLATIVE MEMBERS TO PREPARE FOR THE 2021 LEGISLATIVE SESSION.--

Continued to develop an economic impact study of the businesses in the distilled spirits industry and their influence on the texas economy. The data collection was performed by the university of texas at san antonio, and the study was complete in 2020.

As covid-19 spread across the u.s. In early 2020, tdsa helped distilleries navigate the tax, supply chain, and regulatory issues so distilleries could produce hand and surface sanitizer for first responders, health workers, and the publc. Tdsa worked with the governor's office and the texas alcoholic beverage commission to establish rules that would allow distillery tasting rooms to operate and manufacture during the pandemic.
