“The mission of project giving kids (pgk) is to cultivate empathy in youth by connecting them to age-appropriate service opportunities at a critical time in their development and to strengthen the overall capacity of the nonprofit sector by uniting existing nonprofits with new volunteers and donors. We do this through an easy-to-navigate online website (www.projectgivingkids.org), and a mobile app, youth give, that makes giving back easy and fun, while providing support, both in the short and long terms, to an under-resourced sector so important to the quality of life in our communities.”

During fiscal year 2017, pgk held the second create the change day in boston. It was a community-wide service day for children and families, highlighting the pgk nonprofit partner network and providing hands-on service opportunities for boston area youth. Additionally, pgk held its first create the change day in the san francisco bay area in late 2017, following the same format.”
