Mission

The mission of the lloyd ecodistrict is to facilitate collaboration between its businesses, residents and public agencies to support prosperity, environmental quality, and social welfare. We set goals and implement initiatives to create a neighborhood where people, planet, and prosperity are equally considered. We created replicable models that improve resource efficiency and economic vitality. The lloyd ecodistrict prioritizes projects and programs that address transportation, water, energy, waste and education.lloyd ecodistrict engages the community, forms partnerships, and develops programs that create a connected, prosperous, and resilent neighborhood.

The goal of the lloyd ecodistrict is to become the most sustainable neighborhood in north america.

Form 990, Part III, Line 4D: Other Program Services Description

Other program services 4: lamp: lloyd advantage member programlamp is a led retrofit program that encourages building owners to retrofit lighting, seek incentives from the state of oregon and then we share a portion of the incentive with an affordable housing developer in order to create even more charitable benefit to the community. In 2018-2019, we realized over $13,000 from completed projects. Other program services 5: lloyd delivers:a new program working with portland pedal power to develop a full circle food waste prevention and food rescue program that links up food delivery, catering, and leaner delivery service on cargo bikes that also allows office workers to deliver leftovers to organizations that help feed the hungry.

The lloyd ecodistrict operated as a 501(c)(6) organization prior to receiving its 501(c)(3) status effective december 29, 2017. During the period prior to december 29, 2017, the north/northeast economic development alliance, and right to dream too (r2dtoo), both 501(c)(3) organizations, functioned as the lloyd ecodistrict's fiscal sponsors.
