“The organization's conflict of interest policy was adopted shortly after the close of the tax year 6-30-2015. Board members shall annually notify the board in writing of any known potential or actual conflicts of interest. Each member of the board shall publicly announce potential or acutal conflicts prior to board discussion or action and shall excuse themselves from deliberation, discussion, or vote. Such announcements shall be recorded in the official board minutes. Any board member suspecting a potential or actual conflict of interest of self or another member has a duty and obiligation to announce the possibility prior to board deliberation, discussion, or resolution. Each member of the school's board shall comply with conflicts of interest policies of the board, and all laws, rules, regulations, and related requirements established by the state board of education, district authorizers, or the internal revenue service.”

“Three board members formed an executive search committee. Salary and benefits were determined based upon local market comparison for like schools and educational non profits. Total compensation packages were approved by the full board. Also, the school district reviews and audits the organization's budget, including the reasonableness of salaries.”

As our peers move toward graduation, they will be prepared for whatever life after school may look like for them - in college, tech school, start- up companies, nonprofits, or as part of the workforce. The world young people are inheriting is big, diverse, always-changing, and more challenging than ever. Students at (and graduates from) next high school will be prepared for the unknown future by working with that future now; building their communities now; and making an impact now.”
