Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11

Upon completion, a draft copy of the form 990 is forwarded in pdf format by the tax preparer to the president. The president forwards the return to board members upon request. Notice is sent to the preparer if any questions or concerns are raised. If so, they are addressed and a revised form 990 is distributed. Once all issues, if any, are resolved a final form 990 is prepared and, upon receipt of a signed efile authorization, electronically filed.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Each board member and employee are required to disclose conflicts of interest prior to affiliation or employment with the organization. Cpcp policy requires disclosure of any circumstances that may arise after the relationship has been established that may be perceived as a conflict. Written or verbal communication to an independent board member or the president serves as adequate disclosure. Decisions to terminate the relationship are made on a case by case basis given all relevant information.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

Cpcp employees receive evaluations on a semi annual basis during which their level of performance and contributions to the organization's tax exempt purpose are assessed. Pay scales are determined by adjusting the employee's prior period salary/hourly rate for a number of factors, including but not limited to, the cost of living, individual employee performance and work ethic and the institute's financial position. Final salary/rate decisions are derived after consideration of average pay levels for similar work with other non profit organizations in the washington, dc metropolitan area. Pay increases or decreases are documented in the employee file for future reference.
