“J hughes foundation was organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations qualifying as an exempt organization from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. “A 25,000 donation went towards fundacion free the oppressed in honduras for the construction of an elevated water tank in their property with the purpose to cut down on their yearly electric bill. The water tank allows the distribution of their well water to their properties by force of gravity. An elevated water tank with a capacity of 25,000 gallons was built. Once the installation was finished they were able to shut down a total of 5 water pumps in the properties, significantly lowering their electric bill, giving then the freedom to invest those funds in other needs for the children. About 100 people live in the properties (children, staff, peopel in rehab) were benefited.”
“Donation total of 22,500 received for the children of prince of peace children's home education. The funds were spent partially in the us through the purchase of materials from ace (accelerated christian education) for shipping to honduras. The rest of the funds used to handle the project in honduras for expenses for the home. 43 children were enrolled in school during 2015 and some of the expenses covered included, materials, uniforms, teachers' pay and other administrative costs.”
“Steps by fto project in honduras is a shoe factory. Materials were purchased in the us. A shoe factory was created as a place where they can teach the teenagers of the home a trade while generating an income for themselves. A professional shoe maker who was rehabilitated in the rehab center started working with them and teaching a couple of young people how to make handmade, pure leather, high quality shoes. They began producing their own line of shoes known as steps by fto.”
“Certain programs are sustained by general donations. One of the most popular ones is faith academy. Forty kids from prince of peace childrens home enrolled and received high quality academic bilingual education and some graduated perschool and middle school”
