The Executive Director reviews the 990 with the organizations bookkeeper and then reviews with the entire board during the first meeting of the year, or at the annual board retreat in the fall, whichever comes first.

Spending is reviewed regularly by the Executive Director, the bookkeeper and her team and the Board Treasurer, including who and by what method people receive funds from the organization. The Board reviews this policy at the annual retreat and checks on finances at each boarding.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActyOtherGrp/Desc0The Environmental Promoter program was born out of mutifamily residents expressed frustration and dissatisfaction with their waste and recycling systems, and a desire to learn more and have a direct hand in improving those systems. In partnership with residents, Metro, local governments, and community-based organizations, we provide workshops (based on popular education methodology) for interested residents to learn more about recycling, waste prevention, and healthy homes. Working with Environmental Promoters, we collaborate with the City of Gresham and the City of Poralnd to provide outreach about recycling and waste prevntion to mutifamily housing sites in East Multnomah county, through a community-based lens. This includes support with recycling outreach and education, bulky and food waste reduction, collection events, and more.
