Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To operate exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, educational or governmental purposes by providing advocacy, peer relationships and role models, independent living skills training and information and referral for persons who are disabled. This corporation shall assist such persons in promoting and practicing an independent living philosophy, by providing peer support, self-help, self-determination, equal access, deinstitutionalization, and individual and system advocacy in order to maximize the leadership, empowerment, independence and productivity of individuals with disabilities and the integration and full inclusion of individuals with disabilities into the mainstream of american society consistent with and including the five core independent living services.
